Exec. Bd. Meetings are held one Monday per month. They begin at 4:00 and last until about 5:30 or so – depending upon the agenda.
For the General Membership meetings (usually held in Oct. and May), the Exec. Bd. will meet (briefly) at the conclusion of the General Membership meeting.
WEA Mondays are NOT to be scheduled over by the administration. As you can see on the Monday calendar attachment, WEA Monday meeting dates are set well ahead of time, and your building administrators should not schedule another meeting which would prevent you from attending WEA meetings.
Please review the Monday meeting calendar with your building principal as soon as possible to avoid any conflicts. We want you to have these dates well ahead of time so you can plan to be at every meeting.
It is extremely important that you attend the executive board meetings, as you are the direct link to the membership in your building and this is where we discuss all of the up to date information on pressing WEA issues. It is also a good time for you to share issues and concerns in your respective buildings.
If you can’t make it, please send an email to WEA presidents and Janet Zamary with an explanation. Unexcused absences will be counted against your stipend.
A Building Representative by reason of three consecutive absences from the Executive Board without just cause shall forfeit membership on the Board.
WEA Executive Board meetings will be held at Staples in a room to be determined.
